Welcome to Color Palette Tuesday! 🌸
Every planner sticker sheet I design starts with a feeling — and this week’s color story is no different. I’m sharing the soft, dreamy palette built around lavender, dusty rose, and charcoal plum tones that I used in my sticker sheet Cherry Bow.
Even though I have studied a lot of color theory over time, I don't sit down with my notes when I am designing my stickers. These colors weren’t picked — they came together instinctively. It takes a few attempts before I finalize something I like.
In this post, I’m taking you behind the scenes of why this color combination works so beautifully and how it brings a little sweetness to your planner or journal setup.
Whether you're a planner lover, a sticker collector, or just someone who adores color inspiration, I hope this palette speaks to you too.
The Color Palette behind Cherry Bow Sticker Sheet
If you have been following my work for a while, you know my designs are all about capturing daily life moments, something cozy, dreamy, and a little nostalgic — like a quiet afternoon spent writing in your planner while sipping something warm. Apart from the designs themselves, my color palettes also always try to capture that feeling.
This color palette came together around three main shades.
The color names are given by me but the hex codes are universal. If you type them in a design program you get these exact colors.
Muted Lavender (#CDB1E5): A gentle shade that's calming without being cold.
Dusty Rose (#D8758D): A warm, muted pink that adds just the right amount of coziness and heart. Think of well-loved notebooks and handwritten letters.
Charcoal Plum (#4E4148): Even though it looks like black at first glance, it's actually a deep shade of purple! (I rarely use true black in my designs but more on that in a future post!). This rich neutral anchors the lighter colors, like the deep ink of an old journal (syahi if you will ;)).
Together, these colors balance warm and cool, light and dark, playfulness and calm.
Did you notice how when paired with lavender, the dusty rose looks more pinkish than it is?
They create a feeling that’s whimsical but not loud, cozy but still quietly elegant — just the kind of energy I imagine in a perfect journaling session.
Thanks for joining me for this little color adventure!
Stay tuned for more Color Palette Tuesdays — where I share more behind-the-scenes looks at the colors and feelings that shape my sticker sheets.🎨
And if you ever create something inspired by these colors, I'd love to see it!
Until next time, keep planning, dreaming, and coloring outside the lines. 🎨🖋️

Reading this was like walking into a flower shop, and Charcoal Plum is such an interesting choice of colour!
